Hundred Thoughts Preschool aims to provide children with joyful and enriching experience in their pre-school education and prepare them for a journey towards life-long learning. The emergent curriculum builds upon the interest of children, with teachers facilitating the children’s learning and encouraging them to take an active role in constructing their own ideas and knowledge. Teachers also encourage the children to use many different ways to show their understanding and express their thoughts and creativity.
At Hundred Thoughts Preschool, we believe that children are the driving force behind what they learn. We emphasise on hands-on discovery learning that allows the children to use all their senses and languages to learn. Children are believed to have a hundred different ways of thinking, of discovering and learning and can express themselves through painting, drawing, modelling, sculpturing, dance and movement, imaginative play, music, friendship, poetry and song-creation.
Hundred Thoughts Preschool also provides Chinese curriculum immersion. Our Reggio Emilia-inspired curriculum allows children to explore through poems, songs, rhymes, stories, dramatisations, hands-on activities and children will learn in fun and meaningful ways. Children will be able to build their language abilities through listening, speaking, reading and writing, recognising Chinese characters and develop their proficiency in Mandarin.
